Seg\u00fan el MDR de la UE (2017\/745), todos los productos sanitarios comercializados en el mercado europeo deben estar respaldados por una Evaluaci\u00f3n Cl\u00ednica. El Plan de Evaluaci\u00f3n Cl\u00ednica (PEC) y el Informe de Evaluaci\u00f3n Cl\u00ednica (IEC) son elementos clave de este proceso, cuyo alcance y profundidad var\u00edan en funci\u00f3n de la clase de riesgo del producto, la finalidad prevista y las pruebas cl\u00ednicas disponibles.  <\/p>\n<p><b>2. \u00bfCu\u00e1l es la diferencia entre un Plan de Evaluaci\u00f3n Cl\u00ednica (PEC) y un Informe de Evaluaci\u00f3n Cl\u00ednica (IEC)?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>El PEC define c\u00f3mo se llevar\u00e1 a cabo la evaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica, incluyendo el alcance, la metodolog\u00eda, las fuentes de datos y la estrategia de evaluaci\u00f3n. La RCE documenta los resultados de ese proceso, proporcionando un an\u00e1lisis cr\u00edtico de las pruebas cl\u00ednicas para demostrar la seguridad, el rendimiento y el beneficio cl\u00ednico seg\u00fan el MDR de la UE. <\/p>\n<p><b>3. \u00bfSe puede elaborar un RCE sin un CEP?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>En principio, el CEP debe preceder siempre a la RCE. El CEP proporciona el marco estructurado necesario para garantizar que la RCE sea coherente, transparente y defendible. Los Organismos Notificados esperan cada vez m\u00e1s un CEP claro y documentado para apoyar el proceso de evaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica.  <\/p>\n<p><b>4. \u00bfLos aparatos de clase I tambi\u00e9n requieren CEP y CER?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>S\u00ed. Incluso para los productos de clase I, los fabricantes deben demostrar que cumplen los requisitos de la evaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica MDR. Aunque la evaluaci\u00f3n suele ser menos compleja, siguen siendo necesarios un CEP y un CER documentados para justificar la seguridad y el rendimiento.  <\/p>\n<p><b>5. \u00bfLa evaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica requiere siempre estudios cl\u00ednicos?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>No necesariamente. La evaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica es un proceso basado en el riesgo. Dependiendo del aparato y de las pruebas disponibles, puede bastar con la bibliograf\u00eda publicada, los datos de equivalencia y la informaci\u00f3n posterior a la comercializaci\u00f3n. Sobel ayuda a los fabricantes a evaluar los datos disponibles e identificar si son necesarios estudios cl\u00ednicos adicionales, recomendando nuevos estudios s\u00f3lo cuando las pruebas existentes no puedan respaldar adecuadamente las afirmaciones sobre seguridad y rendimiento.   <\/p>\n<p><b>6. \u00bfC\u00f3mo eval\u00faan los Organismos Notificados el PEC y la RCE durante la evaluaci\u00f3n de la conformidad?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Los Organismos Notificados revisan si la estrategia de evaluaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica es adecuada, las pruebas son suficientes y las conclusiones est\u00e1n justificadas cient\u00edficamente.
